Jay DunnCIO, Longmark

Jay Dunn joined Spouting Rock Asset Management (SRAM) as the chief investment officer for Longmark, bringing more than 25 years of investment experience.

Prior to SRAM, Jay was a managing partner of Maplewood Capital, LLC, a special situations and strategic block investor in public equities. Before Maplewood, Jay served as a managing director at Miller Investment Management, LP (“MIM”), a multi-family office that maintains investment programs in global asset allocation, private equity and private real estate, where he played an integral role in the public and private equity programs.

Jay also spent time as a managing partner at Hatteras Investments, LLC, which focused on strategic block and special situations investments. Prior to Hatteras, he was co-founder and president of Backwire, Inc., a multi-media content and technology company where he helped to acquire over 4.5 million subscribers and multiple enterprise customers that utilized the company’s technology platform.

Prior to Backwire, Jay was a principal at Graham Hamilton, a private investment firm that managed assets in the US for two large European families. Here he led the investment program in small-cap public companies and numerous strategic block investments. Jay was also an equity analyst at ASB Capital, a large institutional investment firm in Washington, DC and a credit analyst in the corporate finance group of Bank of America.

Jay holds a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina and a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law.
